Nestled in the scenic Adirondack Mountains of New York, Paradox Brewery is a welcoming craft brewery beloved by both locals and tourists! Located just off of I-87 in North Hudson NY, this makes a great pitstop when driving through the ADKs, or a place to refuel after a long day hiking in the High Peaks.
Whether you’re a seasoned beer connoisseur or a casual enthusiast, a visit to Paradox Brewery promises an enjoyable experience that celebrates the artistry of craft brewing.

We decided to stop at Paradox Brewery after a day exploring the Adirondacks. We have sampled their beer before, but never on tap, and wanted to check out the brewery as it was on our way back downstate, and only five minutes off of I-87!
Seating and Atmosphere
Surrounded by mountains, Paradox is one of the most scenic breweries you can visit, and luckily they have an outdoor space in addition to their tasting room.
Even if you choose to sit inside, large windows offer you a view of the surrounding mountains.
Seating is shared, and we were placed at the end of a long table one seat apart from another couple. The space was quite full as it was the weekend, and we saw that many larger groups who came in after us had to either wait for seating or grab a spot outside.
The design of the brewery was quite nice, not too loud, and not too crowded while still making great use of the limited space they had.

Drinks
Now what you are probably interested in, is the beer! Whether you’re a seasoned beer connoisseur or a casual enthusiast, a visit to Paradox Brewery promises an excellent example of craft brewing.
A list of their current beers can be found on their website, but we would recommend trying the IPA! Paradox offers seasonal offerings and limited time flavors, so even if you are a repeat visitor there is often something new to try.

Paradox Brewery also offers a selection of non-alcoholic options, something I believe is quite important.
Food
The Brewery has quite a selection of food options on its menu ranging from apps, mains, and desserts.
It took quite a while to get our food, almost an hour. Our food wasn’t quite hot, but not entirely cold. It seems like the problem may have been limited to our table though, apparently, it wasn’t clear to the runners that our table (each is numbered) had ordered our food so they had been going in circles asking tables if our food was theirs.

Allergy Info
The menu has a disclaimer regarding allergies and says that information is available for all food products. I manage nut and dairy allergies and was able to safely eat the pretzel, hot dogs, and wings!
Events
Paradox Brewery engages both visitors and the local community by hosting a range of events. We found those listed on a board at our table, as well as on flyers posted around the room.

Depending on when you visit you may be lucky enough to catch some live music, trivia, or an open mic night!
The Wrap Up
With its beautiful mountain views, delicious craft beers, and welcoming atmosphere, Paradox Brewery offers a nice retreat whether you’re winding down after a day outdoors or simply seeking to enjoy a brew. Consider stopping by here on your drive through the Adirondacks!
