Plymouth, Massachusetts, has more to see than just Plymouth Rock! This charming coastal town is small, but mighty. Full of tasty seafood, sweets, and shopping, here are the top sights that should be on your list!
Go on a Whale Watching Tour!
My family and I enjoyed our whale watching tour on Captain John Boats. These are a little pricey, so if you are on a budget, consider sticking to dry land! Read more about my whale watching experience here.
Lobster Hut
Grab lunch at Lobster Hut if you value reasonably priced seafood that is tasty, and served quickly! Service is counter-style and is in no way fine dining, but my family and I really enjoyed the charm of this little spot by the water after our whale watching tour. The popcorn shrimp, lobster bisque, and chowder were a hit!

The Cranberry House
Looking for a standard Souvenir Shirt, postcard, or knick-knack to bring home? Stop in at the Cranberry House! We enjoyed buying local honey and ornaments.

Main Street Marketplace
The antique stores in Plymouth are not to be missed. There were soooo many gems we found. Everyone will find something in here. Jewelry, clothes, art, vintage beer tap handles, homeware, and more. The store is quite large, two floors, and has rooms that are almost hidden that go deep into the back of the store. I planned to spend 20 minutes in here and ended up spending about 1 hour!
Plimoth General Store & Eatery
Plimoth General Store is the type of general store that every millenial dreams of opening. Part apothecary, part coffee shop with pastries and other sweets, with lots of other goods mixed in. Beer in the back, a kids section to the side, an area just for candy, home goods, condiments, they have quite a bit here and the vibe inside is fantastic. A quick warning for those with allergies, don’t trust the allergen labels! Some sweets were labeled that they contain gluten, dairy, eggs, and soy. One item was labeled to contain only gluten, but open double checking with staff they apologized and said that the item did contain dairy, and that they do not label all allergens on all products.

This list isn’t exhaustive, so stroll up and down the main strip and stop into any stores that catch your eye! Let me know down in the comments if there are any spots that you would add to this list!
