Travel journaling is a fantastic way to be present during your trips, and keep an account of your experiences that will refresh your memories as time goes on. If you want your travel journal to be more fun than just a written account, consider these eight ways to spice up those pages!
Cut up Receipts and Business Cards
I love to take Business Cards and Receipts and cut out the logo or address to attach to my journal pages! Doing this has added so much color to my journal, and helps me remember exactly where I went when I don’t remember to jot down the names of coffee shops, or restaurants!
My favorite scissors are this pair of FISKARS Folding Travel Scissors that are TSA compliant, and this beautiful pair of stork scissors!

Use Washi Tape
Washi Tape is a great way to spice up your pages! I like to use different colors and patterns.

Print your photos!
Okay, hear me out. I’m usually very budget-minded, but this Kodak Step Instant Photo Printer was worth the money. It packs easily, connects to your smartphone, and prints clear photos! I used to try and leave space for photos I took during my trip in my journal, but I never got the spacing right, and always had too much or too little blank space. Now, I print out my top photos at the end of each day when journaling and stick them right in!

Use fun colored pens!
I like to write things like quotes from my trip, addresses, or place names in different colors to make a page pop. I don’t bring all of my colors in my carry on, but I bring a few and create a color scheme for that trip!
I love these for a softer, more natural color scheme.
Stickers!
Stickers are a great way to add spice to your page while also attaching paper items to the pages of your journal.

Here are some super cute floral options!
Finally, a shout out to my favorite low key travel journal, a Moleskin!
