As the temperatures begin to cool, the leaves begin to turn, and the Halloween decorations come out, you may find yourself wanting to make the most of autumn before it slips away. To ensure you make the most of this magical time of year, I’ve put together the ultimate fall bucket list full of festive activities and experiences that capture the essence of the season.
Apple Picking, Pumpkin Picking, and Corn Mazes
In my opinion the best way to start off the fall season is to head to a local farm, pick the best apples and pumpkins you can find, and get lost in a corn maze. And, if you are lucky, the farm may even have hay rides! Afterward, pick a pie recipe, carve your pumpkins, and roast the seeds!
Take a Fall Foliage Hike
Hiking is one of the best ways to enjoy the cool autumn weather and beautiful multicolor leaves. There is something truly magical about hiking in the fall as the leaves twirl down around you. If the foliage wasn’t a big enough draw, there are fewer bugs, and the heat is less intense this season making this a perfect fall activity to add to your bucket list.
Shop at Your Local Farmers Market
Fall is one of the best times to visit a Farmer’s Market! During this magical season, you can find delicious pumpkin bread, fresh apple cider, delicious apple cider donuts, and other seasonal treats.
Go to a Haunted House
Personally, I’m not brave enough to go through a haunted house, but if you are, this needs to be on your fall bucket list!
Visit a Brewery or Cidery
Looking to spend a day out with friends? Throw on your best flannels and go try out some seasonal ciders and pumpkin beers. Order a couple of flights, vote for your favorites, and consider taking a tour.
Take a Drive
Take a drive through winding backroads, pull off at beautiful overlooks, and stumble upon quaint small towns. Prep a fall playlist with your favorite spooky tunes, or cozy songs, pack a couple snacks, and hit the road!
Make Your Own Festive Treats!
Get into the spirit and hit the kitchen to make some Halloween inspired creations! A ghost shaped pizza and caramel apples are two easy (and tasty!) options.
That wraps up the ultimate fall bucket list! These activities are easily achievable, and can all be low-cost! I hope you have a wonderful time as you check off these delightful autumn pursuits, and create unforgettable memories as you immerse yourself in the season.
