Server Experience
When we sat down, we were given the Pineapple-Coconut Bread and freshly made juice. After telling our server about my allergies, she quickly departed and we weren’t quite sure if these items were safe for me to eat. I was a bit nervous about how well my allergies would be taken care of, but once she came back and we ordered our drinks and discussed my allergies more thoroughly, I had more confidence!
Allergy-Friendly Platter
My food was brought out on my own separate platter, containing only the items that I could eat. The allergy-friendly platter arrived nearly ten minutes before the rest of my table’s food arrived. This timing made things a bit awkward. No one wants to eat cold eggs, but I also didn’t want to eat without the rest of my group.
I enjoyed the food offered, especially the Hawaiian-style Ham. Do I think it was worth the cost? Perhaps not, but it was safe to eat and that is what matters most to me!
Long Wait Times for Refills
I asked for more of the ham and potatoes and waited about 20 minutes. When it was brought out, I was almost shocked at how little ham they had given me. It seemed as though they had run out. Very early on in the meal, I had also asked for a second donut. That donut never came, and we didn’t even see our waitress until nearly a half hour later at which point we were ready to leave. As we asked for the check, she asked if I still wanted it. That was a little frustrating, considering that this experience is supposed to be all-you-can-eat.
Would I eat here again? Probably not! But I did enjoy having an allergy-friendly meal with my family in our favorite place to vacation! 🙂 Have you eaten at Ohana? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for reading!
